turned wooden bowls

These beautiful bowls were turned by hand in the ShackletonThomas workshop and are made from locally grown & harvested Vermont wood.

Each bowl is turned from a section of a whole “green” log and then allowed to dry slowly. Slightly uneven and oval shapes result from this process and add to the unique quality of these pure and simple forms. Each bowl is unique and it is this individuality that makes each bowl special and beautiful.

Care Instructions:
To clean, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth, which may be slightly soapy if you wish. Do not immerse in water or place in the dishwasher. An occasional rub with mineral oil will prevent staining and preserve the beauty of the bowl.
