A Safe House by Ann Thomas
Details
A collection of poetry in three sections by Miranda's mother, Ann Thomas.
Of her mother, Miranda says
“My mother, Ann Thomas, was brilliant. She was accepted into Oxford at the age of 17 and attended at the end of the World War II. Her tutors there were Kathleen Lea (a great defender of female intellect), JRRTolkien and C.S. Lewis. Her father was the great architect of Edwardian London, Arthur Davis. He designed the London Ritz, the Royal Automobile Club, among other fine buildings in London, as well as the interiors of many Cunard White Star Liners, including the Queen Mary. We were in total awe of her.”
