Jim has been with ShackletonThomas for almost 20 years, creating pieces that truly shine. Jim’s dedication and passion for the work is easy to see in his exquisite furniture. Jim came to the company as a carpenter, working with just a few basic tools in a single room workshop. Over the years, Jim has grown into an expert craftsman. He is said to almost “paint” with wood, matching grains and textures with incredible artistry.

A native of Bridgewater, Vermont, Jim now works in the same Mill as his great-grandfather did many years ago. Jim is a family man, with three children, and especially enjoys working with new apprentices from different backgrounds, challenging them to push the levels of craftsmanship above and beyond – to achieve the absolute best quality possible.
