Chip joined ShackletonThomas in 1996 after over twenty years in the restaurant industry. He wanted to re-train as a furniture maker and to be part of a community of craftspeople. Chip now specializes in carving, drafting, and integrating new techniques into hand-carved furniture. He works closely with Charlie during the design process, and turns hand sketches into working designs for the furniture workshop. His favorite pieces to make are the Miranda’s Beds and the Cabriole Coffee Table.

Outside of the workshops, Chip loves sailing, mountain biking, teleskiing, and cooking for family and friends. He makes his own work for his business, Charles Ogg Furniture, and works as a Justice of the Peace officiating local marriages.
