Sophie is a true ShackletonThomas product; the daughter of Charles Shackleton and Miranda Thomas, she grew up around the philosophy of the company and has witnessed the development of the pieces her parents make. She is particularly interested in how to communicate her parents’ unique vision to customers, and now offers marketing and branding assistance to the company.

Sophie is also an artist in her own right; she received her BA from Brown University in Theatre Arts, with a focus on directing, and now researches and writes about theatre and performance forms in Mali, West Africa. She consults for the company from Mali when she is not at home in Vermont.
