"ShackletonThomas employees share a love for beautiful handmade objects and have chosen our small company to promote that passion"

a community of craftspeople

We employ, on-site, a team of furniture makers and potters, a wood turner, and an upholsterer. Along with individual skills, each craftsperson brings a special devotion to their art. Following a centuries-old tradition, our workshops and studios take on apprentices who are trained over several years by master craftspeople. To make a first quality product takes a skill set learned over many years of dedication.

From our craftspeople to our retail and office staff, ShackletonThomas employees share a love for beautiful handmade objects and a commitment to our intimate and dynamic team.

We work in a light-filled, wooden-floored, post and beam woolen mill on the Ottauquechee River in Bridgewater, Vermont, which inspires us and reminds us that we are unique in what we do.
