Charles Shackleton Receives Design Award from Vermont Wood Products

BRIDGEWATER, VERMONT…Charles Shackleton, President of Charles Shackleton & Miranda Thomas, Ltd. received First Place in the category of Production Turnings on behalf of his company on June  2006, at the third annual Design Competition. Vermont governor Jim Douglas presented the awards.

The 2006 competition had almost one-hundred entries from Vermont woodworkers and students. The competition is an opportunity for Vermont woodworkers, from small to large businesses, to showcase their creativity and skills.

The Awards won by Charles Shackleton Furniture include: 1^st Place in Production turnings for Clara’s Tuscan Table, and a prize from the national Wildlife Federation for the use of certified wood in the entered pieces.
