The background of the decoration is carved away, removing the layer of slip and exposing the clay body. The jugs are bisque-fired, dipped in clear glaze, and fired for a second time. \u003c\/span\u003eThese jugs are multi-purpose to carry water, juice, syrup, gravy, cream, beer, cider, or used as a beautiful vase.
