Cream Carved Jug

Transform the everyday into an artistic experience with the Cream Carved Jugs, a signature collection of functional art from Miranda Thomas Pottery. The jugs are hand-thrown in our historic Vermont workshop in sizes measuring to carry: eight ounces, one pint, one quart, and a gallon of liquid. A variation on Miranda’s signature black carved collection, these pieces are each dipped in a white clay slip before the design is drawn freehand. The background of the decoration is carved away, removing the layer of slip and exposing the clay body. The jugs are bisque-fired, dipped in clear glaze, and fired for a second time. These jugs are multi-purpose to carry water, juice, syrup, gravy, cream, beer, cider, or used as a beautiful vase. They are dishwasher and microwave safe.

Crafted by master potters using traditional techniques, these stoneware pieces embody the "Fine Art for Living" philosophy, ensuring that every piece is a unique, future heirloom.
