Extra Large 23" Woodland Lidded Storage Jar
Made By Hand in Vermont
23" Woodland Lidded Storage Jar
Hand-thrown by Eric Moore | Decorated by Miranda Thomas
An inviting statement for the entryway, this substantial stoneware lidded jar pairs sculptural form with intricate storytelling. Thrown by Eric Moore and meticulously decorated by Miranda Thomas, the surface is brought to life through the ancient slip-carving technique known as sgraffito.
Layered slip is carefully carved from our stoneware clay body to reveal a richly detailed woodland scene with hidden creatures nestled among curling vines and blooming florals. Each mark is made by hand, giving the piece a tactile presence and quiet individuality.
Both functional and decorative, this jar offers elegant storage while serving as a captivating focal point. As part of ShackletonThomas’ Black Carved Collection, it reflects a mastery of craftsmanship and a celebration of narrative surface design.
A timeless heirloom that brings artistry and warmth to the home.
